| To allow for Java-based applications to access
the cryptographic functionality of the WebSentry, Thales e-Security
provides a Java toolkit that offers seamless integration into Java
applications and multiple options for integration, without compromising
the security of their system.
The WebSentry Java Developer Kit gives application developers the
choice for their hardware integration in their Java application.
It offers 2 options for integration: Java Cryptographic Extensions
and J-PKCS#11
The WebSentry Java Cryptographic Extension (JCE)
Use the standard Java cryptographic architecture by using the Java
Crypto Extensions (JCE) interface, a standard developed and recognised
by Sun Microsystems, who are the authority in maintaining the Java
language worldwide. This standard option will make your application
security portable and highly maintainable within the Java standard
environment.
The WebSentry J-PKCS#11
Use the extended WebSentry Java PKCS#11 interface, which wraps the
industry standard PKCS#11 interface in a set of comprehensive Java
classes, making the migration from C to Java a very easy task for
developers of security applications. The J-PKCS#11 classes give
you enhanced functionality and lower level access to the WebSentry
functionality
For more information on the Java integration tools provided by Thales
e-Security, download the Java documentation for the WebSentry
Java Developer Kit.
