4. FAQ
Variant: NT
Category: Functions
Sub-category: Damaged card requirres replacement
Problem/ Question: In the case of a physical card being damaged, how do I generare a replacement.
Note: No parameters will be changed. Only an embosser file should be generated.
Resolution/ Answer: If you are using the Visa method you will need your daily working file (.DWF) or a PINFILE.OUT file. PINMan generates random PINs each time it is used. Once the daily working file is destroyed, it is impossible to generate the same PIN block to regenerate the embosser file.
Providing you have a PINFILE.OUT file you can enter the data from this into a test .DWF and regenerate the embosser file.
Ensure that all of the parameters that you require to recover, are set up in the [pin] section of the RG3010.INI configuration file.
