Problem/ Question: What are the current versions?
Resolution/ Answer:

P3 Version 1.4.0.21 Advance and Server require :-
P3CM-200 and HSM (Hardware Security Module) firmware 0330-x00x

P3 Desktop Version 1.4.0.21 requires :- P3CM -100 (P3 low speed Crypto Module) firmware 0330-P00x

Problem/ Question: How is the data stored?
Resolution/ Answer:

P3 uses an Access2000 database to store issuer information, and Access2000 is required if the database requires any direct editing.
All data is encrypted using the LMK which is not held on the database (The LMK check value Is held in the CA PK table of each issuer database.)
 
3. FAQ
Problem/ Question: How do I configure P3 users?
Resolution/ Answer:

Three groups are created on install, a user should have any one group. Should more than one group be added to a user, that user will have the permission of the lowest P3 group. Operator being the lowest, Manager being the highest.
Manager - Creates/Opens databases and Deletes databases, BINs and keys. Also used to setup Product Key.
Admin - Creates/Opens database, creates BINs, and keys as well as exporting/importing keys.
Operator - Open database and use Go screen, as well as launching application generation from command line.

Problem/ Question: Why do my parameter file not work when I change the directory of the sample files?
Resolution/ Answer: You need to change the relative path in the job file and also may need to remove absolute paths from application files.

Problem/ Question: Why does P3 viewer not display/load my output file correctly?
Resolution/ Answer: P3 utility programs such as P3Viewer supports all versions of input/output files currently know if problems occur check the file with a HEX editor and report the problem to you local support desk.

Problem/ Question: Why does my P3 installation run slower on different hardware?
Resolution/ Answer: This will depend on a number of different hardware devices.
CPU speed.
Harddisk type (SCSI or IDE),speed and access time
Memory speed 33, 66, 100, 133, or 166 Mhz (depending on the PCs motherboard) Problems will be seen with very fast hardware and duel processors due to database locking.
