Answers we need before you contact us

When you call the Thales e-Security helpdesk with a question regarding the HSM 8000, please provide us with the output to the following commands, and other information requested below:

  • Output of VR console command
  • Output of QS console command
  • Output of QH console command
  • Output of GETCMDS console command
  • Test data used (or name of attachment containing test data)
  • Steps taken to replicate the problem
  • State of the unit after error occurs (eg pingable, console working, LEDs lit, etc)
  • Contents of HSM8000 error log
  • Did this test data work on a HSM 7000 (if applicable)
  • SRM involved? If so, which version and what OS is loaded on the host?
