WatchWord™ 3 is a standards-based token for user and message authentication. A compact, handheld device it provides financial organisations and their customers with all the confidence and security they need for delivering - and using - remote services. Needing no docking stations, card readers or specific terminal equipment, users of WatchWord™ 3 are free to do business in the way that suits them. Nothing more than a pair of tokens - one at each end of the link - is required. WatchWord™ 3 is backward compatible with WatchWord™ II, providing a ready migration path for established systems. Tamper-resistant design coupled to Triple DES encryption with key lengths up to 280 bits ensures strong security. At the same time simple customisation and programming, together with built-in emulation facilities, make for ready system design and integration.

WatchWord™ 3 Issuing is a secure total issuing solution, enabling system integrators and token issuers to customise and deliver complete authentication solutions. It includes:

• WatchWord™ System Design and Emulation (WatchWord™ SDE) which enables customisation of tokens. The SDE includes on-screen emulation of configurations - an invaluable test facility that shortens design and testing work.
• WatchWord™ Issuer Centre Facility (WatchWord™ ICF) which controls key management and PIN production. The ICF loads tokens with appropriate configurations and includes secure PIN mailer/label printing and non-proprietary Key import/export facilities.
