Visa Europe is a European membership organization, focused on meeting the needs of European banks, other payment service providers, consumers, retailers, businesses and governments. VISA Europe is the exclusive European licensee of the Visa brand, products and technology. VISA Europe partners with Visa Inc. to enable global Visa payments, but exists and operates as an entirely separate organization. Thales is part of the Visa Smart Partner Agreement and works with Visa to understand what new security technologies they are promoting to their members, so as to build products and supply solutions for bank card payment systems in the real and virtual worlds.
